We, here at Davenport and Winkleperry, firmly believe it to be our duty to address our patrons full gamut of needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you serve food?
No, we do not have a kitchen but we've got some tasty tidbits that we have brought to us by some absolutely wonderful local bakeries, and we have 8 restaurants within walking distance. Any of our staff will be more than happy to point you in the right direction. Also, feel free to bring in your own dinner and enjoy one of our tasty beverages.
Can I pay for an event, leave and come back later?
Yes, of course! But if the show is "sold out" when you get back you are not guaranteed of getting in the door.
What if I'm on the guestlist for a band?
If you are supposed to be on a guestlist, be sure you know the name of the person who has put you on the list. It is also a good idea to confirm with that person that you are on the list 24 hours before the show. Valid ID is always required at Davenport & Winkleperry, and it is essential when you are arriving. We are not responsible for mistakes made by band members, radio stations, or other promotional groups.
Will you call me a taxi?
Of course! Ask any of our staff who are working that night and we will make it our first priority.
What time do I need to arrive to get a seat?
We usually officially open our doors for the events an hour before, we only have about 40 actual seats so if you get here early you might be lucky enough to get one of those seats. Our shows are basically standing room only. The 40 seats mentioned are couch, comfy chairs, stools at the bar, and tables with a few chairs sitting around each.
I'm not a member, do I need to join before I come to the show?
The best thing you can do is to print out a membership form, fill it out and show up with $3 attached to it for one of staff people. They will take the application, you will automatically be a member, and the next time you return you can pick up your membership card.
What does a membership get me? Do I get to go to the front of the line? Do I get in for free?
A membership allows you to legally enter the club "by NC law". However, we do like to sweeten the membership by offering a small discount to select events, and automatically added to our newsletter, so you get know what we've got planned before anyone else.
My child wants to come to the event with me, is that alright?
We will let in underage patrons (age 15 to 17) who are accompanied by a parent(s) or legal guardian. Please contact us first before doing so. They will be charged the full price of the event & stamped or arm-banded like all under 21 customers.
We are coming from out-of-town, where can we stay?
Sadly, Pittsboro, at present, does not have any hotels or motels. However, the town does offer some lovely Inns and Bed & Breakfast's -
Fearrington House Inn,
The Rosemary House,
458 West, and the
Small Street B&B Café. But, if that's not really your thing, 20 to 30 minutes to the north of us is Chapel Hill, and you should be able to find affordable lodgings there.
